They're back! These classic flamingos originated in 1957 by Don Featherstone, creator of the world's very first plastic lawn flamingos. The flamingos were manufactured continually from 1957 through 2005, when Mr. Featherstone sold both the copyright and the classic molds due to rising costs for production.
After a brief sad period where folks had to depend on imitations to try and brighten their otherwise drab gardens and yards, the time came to rejoice! Manufacturing using the ORIGINAL molds Mr. Featherstone sold had begun again!
But our joy was short-lived. The company folded. We waiting anxiously to see what would happen. Whew! Round Three! The flamingos are still flying!
Pair of genuine Don Featherson flamingos, boxed set, with the classic Don Featherstone" signature etched into their plump bottoms.
Accept no immitation! Check out the realistic glistening eyes & painted beaks, just a few of the quality details that sets Mr. Featherstone's flamingos apart from the other wanna-bes!
